The
Federal Reserve (Fed) is adopting a cautious approach towards inflation and the
possibility of reducing interest rates in 2024.
During the "Central
Banking in the Post-Pandemic Financial System" event on Wednesday, Susan
Collins, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, highlighted that it
will take more time to make adjustments to interest rates.
Furthermore, Fed
Governor Christopher Waller stated that he would need to see several additional
months of favorable inflation data before he could confidently endorse a policy
easing.
